about tim timmons

Tim Timmons is a singer/songwriter and worship leader at Mariners Church in Irvine, Calif., where he and his family have served for the past 10 years. With Mariners as a home base, Tim has the privilege of traveling the country to lead worship and encourage others. He has had many of his songs published, and is involved in studio work, writing, recording, and producing music.

istorically torn between worship leading and inspirational song writing, Tim watches as God causes his two musical worlds to collide. "I'm realizing that my story is God's story," Tim explains, "my prayer is that people will hear the heart of Jesus and be encouraged to follow Him. There’s something so attractive about the family of God at work."

Six years ago Tim was diagnosed with Carcinoid cancer, an extremely rare and incurable disease. As a result, the past few years have been "trying, forming, freeing, joyful, intense, and simplifying". Still, Tim's love for Jesus fuels his passion to point people to Him. He is very thankful his purpose and his music allow him to "help people respond to all that God is with all that they are." Tim and his wife, Hilary, have been married for 10 years and recently welcomed their beautiful daughter, Malia Hope, into their lives!
